He Toi Tupu is an interactive outdoor learning experience designed for tamariki and rangatahi, from early childhood through to secondary school.

Led by descendants and local storytellers, students explore the significance of Rangiriri through stories, discovery and hands-on activities that keep young minds active and engaged. They’ll walk through original Paa remnants, explore full-scale Maaori replica trenches, uncover the stories behind carved pou, and put their learning into action through memorable activities such as Ika Ngohi, our interactive trench game.

Designed to complement classroom learning, He Toi Tupu allows students to see it, hear it, experience it and remember it.
